Spina Bifida Association Clinic Care Partnership Application
The mission of the Spina Bifida Association (SBA) is to build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida(SB). SBA supports this mission by focusing on improving the health of people living with SB so that they may realize their full potential and live long and well. To accomplish this, it is imperative to establish the practices and processes, or standards, that yield the best outcomes for people living with SB, and the clinical programs that strive to provide those standards.
The goal of SBA is to encourage and support the inclusion of the identified standards in all SB clinical programs so that people with SB everywhere receive care that optimizes their health outcomes. These standards —developed by SBA and approved by SBA’s Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) — are the basic criteria that programs must implement to be recognized as a SBA Clinic Care Partner.
Spina Bifida Clinic Care Partners form a network of clinics that practice the standards identified as essential to enhance health and wellness for people living with SB. This network of clinics is identified and recognized for providing exemplary services that demonstrate continual quality improvement.
Applications to become a SBA Clinic Care Partner may be submitted by December 5, 2020 for review by a committee of the SBA and the PAC for a four-year recognition as an SBA Clinic Care Partner. Status reports will be requested, more information to follow.
